Aldersgate office almost full in 90 days

Office space in Central London leased by a range of clients.

Location and building interior have been listed as factors for choosing the Aldersgate property.

A London City business centre has hit 96% occupancy since its launch at the end of August.

The serviced i2 Office at Aldersgate opened earlier this year and has almost reached full tenancy despite the fact that there has been some decline in office space take-up across the City in 2011.

The grade A offices have been leased by a range of companies including PR firms, telecoms specialists and financial companies who are said to keen on the prime location of the building, which is a five minute walk away from four Underground stations, as well as the prestigious interior, which boasts a 40, 000 sq ft Virgin Active gym.

i2 Office General Manager, Sales for London, Mel Schembri said: “We welcomed our first client to Phase 1 of Aldersgate on September 5th and haven’t looked back. We have had a huge amount of interest in our offer, despite the difficult economic conditions.

“These first few months have proven highly successful and we are looking forward to adding further space to the centre to accommodate growing demand.”

Currently i2 Office, who concentrate on technology, are in the process of constructing phase two of its facility at Aldersgate which will provide another 61 workstations in EC1. There is business generating around these workstations with nearly a third already sold and a third producing interest.

CEO of i2 Office, Philip Grace said: “Aldersgate is one of our flagship centres and embodies everything that the i2 Office brand is all about; premium office space in prime locations. The fact that the space has been taken up so quickly in the current economy reinforces our approach to providing quality space in the right location.

“Mel has done an amazing job of filling the centre and we look forward to securing more new clients as Phase 2 unfolds.”

i2 Office are continuing to grow in the UK since their launch in Milton Keynes in 2009,  recently opening serviced office space in Glasgow and Manchester.
