It has long been one of London’s most sought after and expensive office locations. Now, Victoria is shaping up as the most stylish district in Central London – thanks to a £2billion makeover which is attracting some of the world’s most fashionable companies to the area.
Design house Giorgio Armani is the latest fashion label to set up in the area, with the news that its new London HQ will be based in Howick Place. The new Grade A office development occupies a prime site within the Victoria redevelopment area, a short walk from Westminster Cathedral and Victoria Station.
Aiming to be the latest in fashionable office space, Howick Place’s developers collaborated earlier this year with design publication Wallpaper* magazine to showcase the future of office design with a special exhibition.
Giorgio Armani is to join a growing number of luxury fashion labels and lifestyle brands choosing Victoria as their leading London location. The offices of former Gucci designer Tom Ford can also be found at Howick Place, while renowned shoe designer Jimmy Choo is nearby at 123 Victoria Street.
Other stylish HQs in the area include Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana. The Moët Hennessy group, which owns luxury brands including Louis Vuitton, TAGHeuer and Moët & Chandon is based on Grosvenor Gardens.
As ambitious plans to redevelop the area continue, more luxury fashion brands are expected to move in.
And while the area remains one of London’s most expensive for office space, that’s unlikely to deter luxury brands – known to appreciate the prestige of a high price tag.
