Government Workers Relocate from Fancy Offices

Some of the government’s most luxurious offices, overlooking the gardens of Buckingham Palace, have closed down at last; forcing hundreds of civil servants to relocate to less glamorous digs.

The Department for International Development has been located at the building for 15 years – at a cost of tens of millions of taxpayers’ pounds.

The Department works closely on extreme poverty around the world; a factor not unnoticed in this new world of economic thriftiness and questions about government use of taxpayer’s money.

Staff quietly relocated elsewhere in London earlier this month.
