Working in an office can sometimes be distracting. Co-workers and the internet will occasionally make it very difficult for you to focus whilst you try to work. There are a few things you can try to improve your concentration however.
Firstly, keep yourself hydrated. Drinking a good amount of water will ensure that you stay focused throughout the day. Not doing so can lead to headaches, lethargy and a general lack of concentration.
Music can be a great way of blocking out any distractions and focusing on your work. Choose music that has a steady beat and simple lyrics. Something too aggressive and high tempo such as metal or rap will prove to be more distracting than it is useful. If you are using earphones choose in-ear ones over the standard bud phones. This will greatly reduce the chances of you damaging your ears in both the long and the short term.
Try not to eat heavy food and snacks throughout the day. Consuming unhealthy snacks such as biscuits and crisps will really slow you down and make you feel lethargic. If you need to snack through the day why not choose to eat some fruit or a salad? When choosing your dinner try to stay away from fast food and dishes that contain a high amount of salt or sugar.
