LondonEye

Despite the economic difficulties faced by the UK, London remains one of the most expensive cities in which to establish an office according to a new report from commercial property firm CB Richard Ellis.

Listing the 10 most expensive cities to have office space, London appears twice – with the West End taking 2nd place and The City appearing at number 10 spot in the list.

Based on the overall cost of occupancy (rent, rates & service charges), the list demonstrates the growing affluence and influence of Asian capitalism – with 6 of the top 10 cities found in Asia.

Despite being around $28 per sq. ft. cheaper than top placed Hong Kong ($248 per sq. ft.), the West End of London is still shown to be way ahead of its nearest rival Tokyo when it comes to the cost of office space – costing around $34 per sq. ft. more than the Japanese capital.
