Sad to read this news, however with places cropping up on the outskirts of London just a stones through from the main city by tube, competing towns with fiber optic broadband (places like Cornwall) are able to compete to some extent with the City and as you rightly mention overseas are a major threat!

I am sure it won’t be as bad as expected, looking forward to the next update!

The first class lounge at Paddington is already like an office, but it is small so it’s good that there will be an extra space. However I can see people using it like a normal waiting room, talking and making noise because so many people use this station.

Not a surprise when you consider that London as a whole is one of the most expensive cities in the world. Not only to work in, but also to live in, everything in the capital is that little bit more expensive – so when it comes to renting office space, of course it’s going to be the same. In general an office rental is cheaper for someone looking for short term rental (few months to a couple of years), so it has its benefits.
