EC2 is a London postcode which includes Bishopsgate, Moorgate and Liverpool Street. It roughly covers the north eastern corner of the City of London. To the north there are small sections in the London borough of Islington and the London borough of Hackney.

Bishopsgate is home to the Bishopsgate Tower, also known as The Pinnacle – a 288 metre skyscraper which is being constructed in the City. It’s the site of Liverpool Street station, the Bishopsgate Institute and a large number of offices.  Bishopsgate Street is home to a number of major banks including RBS and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

A new commercial development known as Moorhouse opened in Moorgate in 2005. The building was designed by Foster and Partners and consists of 28,000 metres squared of office space over 19 floors. There is a campus of London Metropolitan University in Moorgate and it is also the birthplace of famous poet John Keats.

Liverpool Street Station is a major railway station which is the third busiest in London after Waterloo and Victoria. In January 2009, around 350 people were filmed dancing at this station for the famous T-Mobile advert.
