Schroders shortlists London office space developments for new headquarters

As global asset management company Schroders PLC draw up a shortlist of potential locations for its new headquarters, London office space developers remain optimistic and excited for future business moves.

Their shortlist includes developments such as office space within Great Portland Estates, 100 Bishopsgate and The Pinnacle; however these are only a handful of possible locations.

New ice rink leads to London office space development

Ball Hockey International’s £200,000 ice rink construction is set to bring new office space to London.

The hockey company has recently started the construction by building a rink with a unique plastic grid floor. The floor is said to simulate ice conditions.

Dan Gilbert, general manager, has said that the office space is to be added within the up-and-coming weeks, and that the site is thought to be complete by the summer.

Shell to move to Canary Wharf

Royal Dutch Shell have announced plans to move to Canary Wharf for the next ten years, whilst the Shell Centre headquarters in Waterloo are redeveloped.

The oil firm are currently negotiating a ten-year lease on 200,000 sq ft of office space in 40 Bank Street, which is close to One Canada Square, so that they will continue to have a working headquarters in London during the redevelopment. (more…)
