Rathbones to move to Mayfair office space

Investment managers Rathbones have confirmed plans to relocate to new office space in Mayfair.

Rathbones to take over 42,000 sq ft of office space in London W1.

Investment management group Rathbones have announced this week that they will relocate to new office space in Mayfair.

The firm have confirmed they have signed a 12 year lease for more 42,000 sq ft of office space at 1 Curzon Street in W1. Rathbones will relocate staff from its current New Bond Street offices to office space on the third and fourth floors of the Mayfair building and it’s expected the relocation will be completed by February 2012. Derwent London buys Central Cross development after three years of purchasing inactivity

The Central Cross development at Tottenham Court Road and 1-2 Stephen Street has been bought by real estate investor Derwent London for £146 million. This is its first deal since 2007 after the blow suffered by the commercial property market as a result of the economic downturn.

The extra 23,300 square metres of space has risen the firm’s holdings, in the West End districts to the north of Oxford Street and close to Fitzrovia, to 1.5 million square feet. (more…)
