London office building reaches full occupancy.
High quality commercial property Ropemaker Place sees three new lease deals.
Ropemaker Place in London is now at full occupancy following three new deals that took up the last remaining space. The building is let by British Land and is located within the City of London. Both retail and office space is available in the commercial property and the most recent tenants are Cycle Surgery, EAT and POD.
Additionally, global financial information services company Markit has chosen to extend its presence in the building. Previously the firm leased 85,000 square feet but it has taken up the option to lease an additional 22,000 square feet of space.
Commenting on the recent lease contracts Paul Burgess, head of London leasing at British Land said: “We are very pleased to announce that the building is fully occupied. The speed at which these lettings have been achieved is testament to the building’s attractive, flexible design and industry leading green credentials as well as its ability to meet the diverse and demanding needs of major occupiers.”
Respectively EAT and POD have taken up 2,465 square feet and 1,355 square feet of retail space within the building. Cycle Surgery signed the largest lease for 3,705 square feet on the ground floor within Ropemaker Place.
The commercial property was opened in 2009 and instantly received an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating. Following this the building was the first in Europe to achieve pre-certification for a ‘Platinum’ LEED rating.
