When you work in an office all day it’s hard to find the time and energy to exercise.
However, by making a few changes to your daily work routine you can improve your health and feel fitter in no time.
Here are five simple steps you can take:
Take the stairs: If you’re working above the first floor avoid the lift and take the stairs in the morning. This will be beneficial to both your heart and aid you in losing those extra pounds.
Exercise at your desk: You could do this in a variety of ways, ranging from keeping small weights on your desk to balancing on your desk whilst you stretch.
Walk/Cycle to work: If you live within a reasonable distance to your office, cycling or walking to work can be very beneficial to your health. It will also save you a lot of money on petrol or bus/train tickets.
Go for a walk: During your lunch hour, take a walk down to the local park or town and get some fresh air. Just make sure you get back to the office in time!
Get up every now and then: Why not spend 5 minutes of your coffee break to do some simple aerobics. Get the rest of the office involved and make it fun.
So, give these activities a go and you should hopefully feel the benefits. Remember to eat a healthy diet by packing your own lunch and avoiding snacks during work.
