After days of sleeping in, eating everything in sight and lazing about it can be hard to adjust back into your usual efficient working self. However, there are some things you can do to ease the transition.
Firstly plan ahead, create a chart or list of things that you need to achieve once you’re back at work. This will make it easier to work through everything that you need to do and provide clear targets to work towards.
A healthy diet is also important, eating fatty foods will make you feel sluggish and even more tired. Drinking plenty of water and taking in light meals will ensure that you feel energetic and alert throughout the day.
Take regular breaks, don’t overwork yourself in a mad rush to catch up with all of your work. You will be far more efficient if you take breaks at consistent intervals rather than tiring yourself out by trying to work constantly.
Don’t overface yourself, you need to be realistic in your goals to ensure that your work is of a high standard. Setting yourself too much work will result in you trying to rush through projects and this will make them substandard.
