TMT Sector Largest Occupier of City Office Space

Tech Companies

Knight Frank have published data reflecting the high take-up of offices for the technology, media and telecoms (TMT) sector in Central London.

A total of 931,000 sq ft of office space was taken in the Square Mile by organisations from the TMT sector between Q1 and Q4 this year, making this the largest buy-up sector in the market.

“This is part of a global phenomenon, as we are seeing rising TMT demand being reported in Chicago, New York, Dublin, and Berlin, as well as London,” says James Roberts, Head of Commercial Research at Knight Frank.

“The City is emerging as a focus point as it has the transport, telecommunications, and power infrastructure to support this growing sector.”
