Sky to move into West London office space.
BSkyB reportedly moving into First Central offices following its regeneration.
Sky has announced that it is planning new London offices. The firm are supposedly close to signing what would be the biggest office space deal that West London has seen for some time. BSkyB would be leasing high quality offices at First Central in Park Royal, NW10.
The company would lease 162,413 square feet of space in the West London office. Sky are said to be in advanced discussions about the terms of the lease. The First Central Business Park is being developed through a joint venture between Diageo and London Regional.
Once completed the site will be occupied by Diageo and potentially BSkyB. The two companies will share the site in separate buildings. Diageo will keep its headquarters on the site in a 150,000 square feet building.
The site will also feature a hotel and retail space within a landscaped campus. First Central is now the main focus of the entire Park Royal regeneration area. The development is one of the latest regeneration projects being carried out in London recently.
BSkyB are to pay approximately £20 per square foot on a long term 10 year lease. The deal includes a five-year break option, something that was apparently vital to getting Sky to sign the deal. This is because the company is expecting even further expansion in the next decade.
