Life insurance company Friends Provident have announced that they are moving into new London office space.

The firm are to move into office space in the One New Change located just behind St. Paul’s Cathedral in Cheapside. The building is a mixed use development and features a range of retail outlets and company offices.

Friends Provident aims to leave it’s current offices in Wood Street in April this year and move straight into the One New Change property.

“There is a real synergy between the flexible, contemporary office space at One New Change and our ambition for Friends Provident to be a progressive, industry-leading financial services company,” commented David Hynam, executive director of operations at Friends Provident.

The insurance firm will occupy 48,000 square feet in the brand new office space that was completed last October. One New Change has four floors that are used purely for company offices, a public terrace on the roof level and the lower three floors are taken up by retail outlets.

Overall the building consists of a total of 560,000 square feet of floor space which is split up into 220,000 square feet of retail space and 330,000 square feet of office space. It cost around £500 million to construct and features tenants such as Top Shop, Hobbs and The Barbecoa which is a restaurant and butcher owned by Jamie Oliver and Adam Perry-Lang.
