Bevis Marks Building Latest Premium Office Space in the City of London
The completion of 6 Bevis Marks is the latest office space in the City of London for the Liverpool Street area which boasts a fine selection of high-end conventional and flexible office space.
After reaching completion last week, the first tenants of 6 Bevis Marks are expected to take up occupation next month. The contemporary, glass-fronted office building is situated close to the Gherkin skyscraper. The finished structure incorporates 160,000 sq ft of office space over fifteen floors, together with a business lounge, private courtyard garden and, perhaps the most talked about feature of the building, a series of rooftop terraces with a covered roof.
Visitors entering via the lobby will discover the twenty-six screen media wall adorning the reception – one of several innovative features within the building. Others include the use of recycled glass for the façade; a move which is part of wider plans to reduce the environmental impact of office space in the City of London. As such, it has also achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating.
6 Bevis Marks was designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, whose past projects include National Art Gallery Singapore, the Stockholm City Library and a collaboration with Renzo Piano Building Workshop on the Central St Giles development which subsequently became home to Google.
Beyond Bevis Marks – Office Space in the City of London
Bevis Marks might be the headline event but there are many more office developments taking place around the Liverpool Street area of the City. These include developments within the serviced office market.
This new office space in the City of London near Liverpool Street Station was also recently completed and offers serviced offices with a focus on design-led space. We recently chose it as one of our Office Envy picks – a showcase of London’s most stylish serviced offices.
Indeed, this kind of premium, stylishly presented space is characteristic of serviced offices within the Liverpool Street area. Along with the Gherkin and Bevis Marks, the locality is also home to many architecturally impressive buildings, from the iconic skyscraper of Heron Tower, to the imposing stone façades along New Broad Street.
Many of these buildings offer serviced office space, meaning flexibility and short-term rental agreements in addition to the prestigious City location.
With the nearby Cheesegrater skyscraper now complete and also set to include serviced office space, the premium options for this area of the City continue to grow.
