Office Designer Unlocks Imagination – Competition Winners

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been inundated with entries for our Office Designer competition – we’ve seen some fantastic posts from some very creative bloggers, and choosing the overall winners has not been an easy decision to make! After much discussion however, we’ve finally settled on our favourites, and are pleased to be announcing our 3 lucky winners!

The Office Designer competition asked interior and lifestyle bloggers to put their design skills to the test to create the ultimate office space. Bloggers were given suggestions on companies and asked to put together creative posts illustrating their dream designs, taking inspiration from offices and interiors around the globe.

We’d like to thank every blogger who entered; competition was strong, and the entries we received were outstanding – entrants put real creative thought into their posts, and every one showed a real flare for design.

And so without further ado, here are our 3 winning posts:

1st Place – I Heart Fashion

office designer competition 1st place

In first place, office designer Victoria from I Heart Fashion, who created the ultimate creative hub. Victoria’s theme was blogging for the over 25s, and chic was very much the focus. Drawing inspiration from the Instagram HQ in San Francisco, Victoria impressed us with her well-thought out designs and the level of detail she included in her post.

She covered every element of the office from the space, to the colours, the furniture and even opening hours and plant life (cacti, for ease of watering!) and of course, a bar for after work drinks. Working with exposed brickwork and a contrasting mix of timber and brushed metal, Victoria crafted a modern and edgy space which would fit right in in central Manhattan, and for that reason I Heart Fashion takes home the 1st prize of £300 in Made.com vouchers.

2nd Place – Anita Brown Design Studio

Office designer competition runner up

The first of two runners up, office designer Anita from Anita Brown Design Studio, rejected the traditional office design for an industrial-meets-vintage warehouse look, utilising exposed brickwork and empty space to create the most creative environment possible. Anita’s aesthetic was modern, but understated, using grey with yellow and green to stop her office from dating, and pulling in crafted reclaimed wood furniture to really wow clients.

We were impressed with Anita’s push for sustainability – an important consideration of an office designer in the modern day – as well as her in-depth descriptions and use of 3D visual design, which really made her post stand out. Anita takes home £50 in Made.com vouchers for her wonderful work.

3rd Place – Unique Young Mum

office designer competition 3rd place

Our second runner up, and the blogger taking home the final £50 in Made.com vouchers, is office designer Jade of Unique Young Mum. Jade took a different approach to other bloggers, moving away from modern designs to create a comfortable, warming environment, with lots of colour and quirks. Jade pulled inspiration from multiple sources, impressing us with the level of thought she put into every aspect of design, covering every detail from reception upwards.

Jade’s design was practical space but not afraid to have fun, and any office with a staircase slide, candy machine and Lego stud walls in the staff room is worthy of the winner’s podium! It’s hard to imagine staff wanting to go home on this one.

We’d like to say thanks again to every blogger who took part in the office designer campaign. There are lots of budding designers out there and the amount of creativity in each post really impressed our team!
