London’s Top Five Beer Gardens, Tipple Terraces and Cocktail Courtyards

Knowing how elusive the sunshine can be in our little country and with the recent glimpse of what may be to come, we at Londonoffices wanted to help you get ahead of the game by planning out our tops five London watering holes featuring beautiful outdoor space. Now, when the sun does choose to rear its pretty head, no matter how briefly, you’ll be prepared.

 

  1. Madison, St. Pauls

The terrace bar and Lounge at Madison overlooks the stunning St. Paul’s cathedral and comes alive at night with the aid of some fantastic in-house DJs. The award winning rooftop has a selection of fabulous cocktails from the classic Margarita to their twist on contemporary concoctions including the Maple and Almond Sour. Alternatively, sitting in the sunshine by day and enjoying a bite to eat is priceless when accompanied by these views.

  1. The Albion, Islington

This exquisitely beautiful Georgian pub stuns both inside and out. The gorgeous beer garden, adorned in a purple fountain of wisteria, transports you to the countryside while you enjoy an ice cold drink. Wooden furniture and canopies give a real natural feel to the area creating a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The very large bar menu from cocktails to bottle beers and the extensive spirit list makes it easy to get lost here for an entire day.

  1. Boundary, Shoreditch

As we all know, British weather can be very unpredictable with dazzling sun one minute and grey skies the next. Boundary’s stylish heated rooftop bar, grill and outdoor terrace has this covered. Complete with dazzling views of the surrounding City, this beautiful setting is ideal for lazy lunches in the sun or pleasant evenings alike. The heated bar also functions as a wonderful Orangery bringing a feel of the Mediterranean to a sunny day in London.

Sat in the heart of the City, these pristine gardens offer phenomenal views of London’s most famous skyscrapers and period architecture. Alternately, again, British weather proofed, the rooftop terraces are heated and covered allowing you to enjoy a fine spirit and a delicious bar snack in comfort and luxury. The plentiful greenery and elegance of these outdoor spaces make them the ideal choice for either a business lunch or sophisticated evening drinks.

Another one with a stunning view of London’s famous City buildings however, there is a very cosy, stylish and comfortable feel to this rooftop terrace. Furthermore, every Thursday and Friday evening the Aviary features a live DJ so the fun doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down.
